Facebook Monetization – Reels
Facebook is building direct monetization options for Facebook Reels through ad revenue sharing and fan support.
Additionally, Facebook is also expanding Facebook Reels Overlay testing to all creators in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and to more countries in the coming weeks.
This monetization option is initiated by Facebook in two formats: banner ads or banners that appear as a semi-transparent format at the bottom of the Facebook Reel, and sticker ads, which are static image ads that creators can place anywhere on their reels.
Sticker ads, Facebook explains, allow creators to earn a share of ad revenue. Another monetization option is Stars on Facebook Reels, which will begin testing in the coming weeks.
Facebook says that overlay ads and Stars are designed to allow more people to view and interact with Reels on Facebook, thereby increasing creator revenue.
Facebook is also rolling out brand suitability controls, including Publisher Lists, Blocklists, Inventory Filters, and Delivery Reports for Banner and Sticker Ads on Reels in every region where the feature is available.
This feature is claimed by Facebook will give more control for advertisers so that ads do not appear in places that are not in accordance with their brand or product. Facebook has also been testing full-screen and immersive ads among Facebook Reels since October last year, and will be rolling it out to more regions around the world in the coming months.
There are a few different ways of monetizing Facebook content to try.
